I stumbled upon this gem from a tip of an Uber driver. Every aspect of the experience was great. It was fast, affordible, and delicious.
The breaded chicken was still hot after my walk to the hotel and the monstrous portion filled my jet-lagged appetite quickly. There is a chili sauce in the wrap I want to steal and put on everything I eat.
I'm only in Manchester 5 days and I plan on making a return trip.
UPDATE:
I ate here three of the four nights I had in Rusholme. I'm still as satisfied with the visit! The absolute best kebab is the kobedah. I recommend getting the Chili and Yoghurt sauce on the side - you get much more and it's fun for dipping!
I don't intend on staying in Rusholme during my next visit, however if I find myself in the area I'll absolutely stop by. -

Being brand new to the world of Yelp, I'm very disappointed to find one of my favourite cafes in Manchester being so obviously misunderstood.
The Rusholme Chippy is not a chippy at all. Yes they do serve some English food but despite the name, which has obviously confused so many on here, it is the place where you will find the best Kobeda Kebab in Manchester! They've been serving these mouthwatering kebabs for over 30 years & were the first to do so in the area. The kebab is a minced lamb sausage style much like a kofte kebab, but infinitely better and is served on fresh naan with salad and extremely tasty sauces. For those with a healthy appetite, try a double - highly recommended!
I hope this has cleared up the situation & will lead to other kebab lovers like myself visiting this fine and long-standing establishment. -

This is a throwback favourite for students - but it should deserve a higher crown than that. The kobedah is the best in Rusholme & the chicken tikka on the bone is the best you will get anywhere. All kebabs come on fresh made, light and crispy bread with salad on a huge sheet of paper. Don't expect plates. This place is casual & is dwarved by all the other bright lights surrounding it. It could do with a makeover, but that would probably ruin it! You might go & think "ugh look at the state of this place" - forget your judgements & just tuck in, you won't regret it!

Amazing kobeda kebabs. Been coming here sinse 1991 and now an addict to kobeda and starting to look like one.

I was so disappointed when I went in to order some good old fish 'n' chips with mushy peas, only to discover that this isn't a chippy, but rather a very badly named kebab house!
bah! Lucky to get two stars!
